Introduction Opportunities Departmental Activities Lab Facilities Faculty Members

The vision of the EEE Department is to become a nationally and internationally leading institution of higher learning, building upon the culture and the values of universal science and contemporary education, and a center of research and education generating the knowledge and the technologies which lay the groundwork in shaping the future in the fields of electrical and electronics engineering.

The mission of the EEE Department is to provide education for those students who are able to compete internationally, able to produce creative solutions to the society's needs, conscious to the universal moral values, adherent to the professional ethical code, and to generate and disseminate knowledge and technologies essential to the local and global needs in the field of electrical and electronics engineering.

With the ambitious objective of developing professional expertise and skilled manpower that can face various challenges posed by power situations, drives, controls and instrumentation, the Department is constantly on the look out to modernize its laboratories and infrastructure to accommodate the latest trends of world-class research work. The Department gives maximum priority to updated technical information, through office automation with a true internet and intranet environment

EEE is such a course which is very much flexible when job opportunities are concerned. EEE students can go for software jobs as well as can attend the core companies.
software companies are like:
core companies are like:
We have conducted campus interviews with big companies such as IBM, TCS, etc and provided a great career base to all of our students. this campus interviews program will be taken care and monitored by our special placement cell.

Departmental Activities

With an ardent intention to provide exposure to our students and faculties, We have organized seminars, paper presentations and technical quizs etc. So that, they can perceive the methodologies followed by others and learn the latest technologies available.

Lab Facilities

All the equipment in the laboratories is from reputed manufacturers.

1.Electro mechanics Laboratory :

The Laboratory has required DC and AC machines. Students can understand the intricacies of Machines by conducting experiments like Hopkinsons test, speed control of DC motors , Scott Connection etc The Laboratory is located in a spacious area of 310Sqmts. The control panels are designed ergonomically, the cables are run underground through Trenches and concealed wiring is done providing safety and having esthetic looks.

2.Electrical Measurements Laboratory:

This laboratory has facilities to conduct experiments in the study of three phase currents using phase shifting transformer, understanding protection relays etc.

3.Power Electronics Laboratory:

This laboratory has facilities for conducting experiments in forced commutation , study of DC Jones chopper, study of invertors with reactive loads.

4.Networks Laboratory:

Facilities exist for study of electrical circuits with various types of loads, understanding Thevinins and Norton theorems.

5.Control Systems Laboratory:

Equipment like Synchros, Servomotors, Linear System Simulators, Position Controllers, PID Controller, Lag - Lead Compensators etc have been procured. In addition to this equipment, the lab has four Computer Systems to assist experiments using MATLAB.

6.Fluid mechanics and hydraulic machines laboratory:

This laboratory facilitates to do the performance test on Kaplan turbine, performance test on reciprocating pump etc.

7.Engineering workshop:

This workshop gives an idea about house wiring, carpentry, fitting etc.
