Malka Kommariah,Founder,CEO of Shalivahana group is a man of vision--well disciplined, pragmatic & persevering. No challenge is ever too great for the entrepreneurial skills in him.
He completed B.Tech. in civil engineering from Osmania University in 1983 and ventured into real estate business with a missionary zeal. His discipline laced with sagacity, contributed greatly to the prosperity of Salivahana group. He has been associated with NITS since 2017.
From the day one, his expertise helped in adding value to NITS in developing and upgrading the infrastructure , human resources, and other facilities. The labs were upgraded with the latest technologies. The students are motivated to do well in academics what with the rewards and prizes given to the meritorious and the skillful in academics and all curricular activities .He strived hard to establish a strong placement cell to provide maximum placements & strong career development training & need-based soft skills training. He is interested in integrating technology, education & research to make NITS an exemplary institution in preparing competent professionals to meet the challenges of the present global scenario. He believes that his role is to set focus on shaping NITS into a thriving educational group that contributes to the society and country at large.
He is a strong votary of affordable and sustainable quality education. He started Pallavi Model School,affiliated to CBSE, which is running with a strength of 2500 students at Hasmathpet. Under his guidance, Pallavi Education Society achieved several landmarks & laurels. He is also the chairman of Balaji Arun Education Society which holds the franchise of Delhi Public Schools in Mahendra Hills & Nacharam. He is the pro-vice-chairman of management sub committee of DPS-Sec'bad, Mahendra Hills &Nacharam. A philanthropist at heart with a strong record of serving various social causes, he started Salivahana Foundation which is imparting apparel training with suitable job opportunities to a number of women belonging to BPL families.
